Students participate in global grad show
At the recent Global Grad Show held in Dubai, creative designs of PolyU students were selected to be showcased. It was a unique exhibition of innovations, inventions and technologies, displaying the works of students coming from 50 universities in 30 countries.
The exhibiting PolyU student works were:
- Devoted by Wong Sin-bing - A breast pumping set for working mothers that offers a new way of pumping milk
- Easiread by Yau Sau-mei - A prototype typography system with preset functions to help with problems of letter recognition, reading flow and visual stress
- Meal coach by Lee Ka-ki - A nutrition informatics system that connects affiliated restaurants, dieticians and communities to assist users in eating healthily
- Watrol by Sharon Li Pui-yee - A water control system for showering to help build a wise water-use habit
- Wheel you walk by Li Hoi-ting - A crowd-sourcing platform and community for the general public to report outdoor accessible facilities for wheelchair users
