Prof. Wallace Leung Woon-fong, Chair Professor of Innovative Products and Technologies, has recently been elected Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences (HKAES). The HKAES Fellowship is a recognition of his distinguished achievements in serving Hong Kong with top quality engineering expertise.

A mechanical, chemical, petroleum and aerospace multidisciplinary engineer and educator, Prof. Leung has worked in industries and academia, respectively, in US and Hong Kong for 40 years. He has developed nanofiber technologies for use in perovskite and dye sensitised solar cells, worked on conversion of harmful gas to harmless substances by photo-catalysis, filtering nanoparticles from air stream, and wound healing using chitosan nanofiber scaffold. He is also an expert in centrifugal separation having developed 10 technologies that have been used worldwide in chemical, industrial, mineral applications, and wastewater treatment.
