A student team majoring in occupational therapy from the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences has earlier won the Gold medal of Student Innovation Challenge at the 10th International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (i-CREATe) in Thailand, with a smartphone add-on called “EASLIDER”.

EASLIDER is an innovative smartphone add-on with a soft and comfortable elastic grip. The “slidable” track allows both physically handicapped and able-bodied people to master smartphones easily without dropping their phones. It also prevents them from suffering from cumulative trauma disorder due to fatigue and over-extension of finger muscles.

Congratulations to five Year-Four students, Swing Chan, Monie Lai, King Leung, Tracy So and Chester Yip!
