On 8 December, PolyU held its Gala Dinner 2016/17 and Bauhinia Cup Outstanding Entrepreneur Awards Presentation Ceremony under the theme “Opening Minds • Shaping the Future – Our Participation in National Development”. The dinner brought together over 700 distinguished guests, friends, alumni and staff for a joyful evening, raising funds for the University’s development.
On the same occasion, the Bauhinia Cup Outstanding Entrepreneur Awards 2016 were presented to 10 outstanding private entrepreneurs from the Chinese mainland by Council Chairman Mr Chan Tze-ching and President Prof. Timothy W. Tong. This year’s recipients came from seven provinces with their scope of business in data security, information technology, textiles and clothing, materials, finance and commerce, automobile industry, cultural industry and mechanical equipment.
