Awards for improving occupational safety awareness

For the second consecutive year, PolyU was honoured at the presentation ceremony of the Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Award. This year, the University received the Safety Promotion Award (Silver) and Safety Performance Award (other industries category) in recognition of the University’s remarkable achievements in improving employees’ safety awareness, promoting safety culture in the workplace, and maintaining good safety records.

Mr Andy Tong, Vice President (Campus Development and Facilities) was delighted that PolyU’s efforts in enhancing occupational safety were well recognised. He believed that the awards would give the University additional impetus to continue to strive for excellence in health and safety.
