On 11 January, PolyU welcomed the University Grants Committee (UGC) delegation led by Chairman Mr Carlson Tong to the University. The delegation visited the House of Innovation where they learned about PolyU’s many breakthroughs that have advanced technology frontiers and benefitted mankind, including the invention in space tools and anti-cancer drugs.
The University management team also introduced to UGC members PolyU’s major developments in holistic and professional education to nurture socially responsible global citizens, inter-disciplinary research aligned with societal needs, and partnerships for broader impacts.
In addition, UGC members also met with faculty members and students to understand more about their teaching, research and learning experience at PolyU.
