Mr Zachary Wong Chun-hei, graduate of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, recently scooped the CreateSmart Young Design Talent Special Award as part of the Design for Asia Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award. He will receive a financial sponsorship of up to HK$250,000 for overseas work attachment or furthering his studies.
During his studies at PolyU, Zachary demonstrated his creative flair and won a number of design competitions in joint projects with his classmates. These included the Championship of the Disney ImagiNations Hong Kong Design Competition in 2015 and the iF Design Talent Award in 2017, with the “STAR WARS LAND” project and the “CONNEX” project in optimising co-living space respectively.
