On 1 March, PolyU signed a Memorandum of Understanding with two leading research organisations in Germany, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, to drive collaborative applied research and technology development in the area of life sciences and engineering.
This tripartite partnership would help translate research into more innovative applications in life sciences and engineering. With the synergies it brings, significant innovations in chronic diseases, immunomodulation, traditional Chinese medicines, translational medicine and other areas for the greater benefits of the Hong Kong society and beyond will be expected.
