On 20 March, the Laboratory for Smart City and Spatial Big Data Analytics officially opened, under the witness of PolyU President Prof. Timothy W. Tong and Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the Hong Kong SAR Government Dr David Chung.
Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and backed by top-notch research expertise, the Laboratory will facilitate the development of key technologies to support smart city development, including spatial big data analytics and modelling, smart navigation and mobility, and urban sensing and computing, with a view to making cities more efficient, livable and sustainable.
