On 28 June, President Prof. Timothy W. Tong gave a keynote speech at the Briefing Session of InnoTech Expo 2018 and Forty Years of Reform & Opening-up Project Learning Award Scheme cum Seminar co-organised by Our Hong Kong Foundation and the Education Bureau. Prof. Tong discussed how technology innovation enhances living quality, teaching approaches, economic development, and the nation and Hong Kong’s competitiveness. He also shed lights on how teachers can strengthen the younger generation’s STEM abilities (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration etc) and inspire young people to become future technology talent. The event was attended by a hundred principals, vice principals and subject teachers of secondary and primary schools.
