During 13-20 July, PolyU’s newly formed Global Youth Leadership and Service-Learning Institute, Peking University, the Beijing Municipal Government and Shougang Group jointly organised the Global Youth Leaders Summit 2018 with the theme “Transforming VISION into ACTION”. Some 300 student leaders from 28 countries and regions were inspired by the keynote speeches and sharing by global leaders, including Deputy to the 13th National People’s Congress of the People's Republic of China Mr Peter Wong and Nobel Peace Prize awardee Prof. Muhammad Yunus.
The Summit has provided opportunities for students to learn how to turn their vision into action, and search for practical solutions to address critical challenges confronting today’s world, such as poverty alleviation, education for all and building of sustainable communities. Details>>
