Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology and HKSAR Government signed the Arrangement on Enhancing Innovation and Technology Co-operation, marking a new page of scientific and technological collaboration between the mainland and Hong Kong. Capitalising on the opportunities brought by this initiative, PolyU will strive to nurture innovation and technology talent to facilitate the development of Hong Kong into an international technology hub.
At the same time, 16 Partner State Key Laboratories in Hong Kong have been renamed as State Key Laboratories, including our State Key Laboratory of Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University) and State Key Laboratory of Ultra-precision Machining Technology (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University). Under this arrangement, the University will enjoy more flexibility to collaborate with different research and development institutions in the mainland.
