Conferment of honorary doctorates

PolyU bestowed honorary doctorates on the following five prominent figures at its 24th Congregation held on 28 October in recognition of their distinguished accomplishments and contributions. The ceremony was presided over by Chancellor and HKSAR Chief Executive the Hon Mrs Carrie Lam, Council Chairman Mr Chan Tze-ching and President Prof. Timothy W. Tong.

• Dr the Hon Victor Fung Kwok-king, GBM, GBS, Group Chairman of the Fung Group, was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration
• Dr Kigge Mai Hvid, Founder of Danish design studio JA, was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Design
• Prof. Wang Shu-guo, President of Xi’an Jiaotong University, was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science
• Ir Wong Tit-shing, Chairman of Jetta Company Limited, was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Engineering
• Dr Annie Wu Suk-ching, SBS, JP, Honorary Chairman of Beijing Air Catering Company Limited, was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humanities
