Creating a strong global network

In November, the University has signed the following agreements with various academic institutions and international corporations to step up efforts in collaborative research.

• On 5 November, PolyU and The University of Waterloo signed a Strategic University Partnership institutional agreement to foster closer partnership in education, research and entrepreneurship. Details>>
• On 13 November, PolyU and Alibaba Cloud signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their corporation in artificial intelligence research, with focus on the areas of smart cities and smart healthcare. Details>>
• On 14 November, PolyU reached strategic collaborative research framework agreements with China Resources Microelectronics Limited and China Resources Life Science Industry Development Co., Ltd. respectively to explore the possibility of establishing two joint research centres for novel micro-electronic devices and precision medicine. • On 21 November, PolyU’s School of Hotel and Tourism Management, the School of Tourism Management of the Sun Yet-Sen University in Guangzhou, and the Institute for Tourism Studies in Macau, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for establishing the Greater Bay Area Tourism Research Alliance. The collaboration aims to strengthen the international tourism status of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area through joint endeavour in tourism research. Details>>
• On 21 November, PolyU and The Caspar Health Limited signed a Collaborative Agreement to cooperation in developing the Caspar e-system, an interaction resource in physiotherapy and occupational therapy undergraduate teaching and clinical practice.
