On 19 December, PolyU President Prof. Timothy W. Tong and Sun Yat-sen University President Prof. Luo Jun signed an agreement to further research collaboration in the areas of space science and technology, marine science and technology, tourism management research as well as innovation and entrepreneurship. The collaboration will help nurture talents and bolster research development to advance innovation technology development in the Greater Bay Area.
On the same day, PolyU entered the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Space Science and Technology Alliance and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Ocean Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, comprising a total of 21 higher education institutions in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.
