The School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) has won high international recognition in a number of ranking exercises recently, a testimony to the University’s excellence in hospitality and tourism education.

Ranked no. 1 in the “Hospitality and Tourism Management” subject in ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2017 released by the ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, the SHTM also took out top place in the “Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism” subject area of the Center for World University Rankings World Rankings by Subject 2017. It is further placed third in the world in the “Hospitality and Leisure Management” discipline in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2017.

The SHTM undertakes a fully integrated approach to education, capitalising on the benefits of offering real-world, problem-based learning opportunities through the University’s teaching and research hotel, Hotel ICON.
