PolyU Kung Fu Festival - Talk One and Demonstration: History of the Southern School of Chinese Martial Arts

Chinese martial arts boast a long and chequered history. Although there are many styles, Chinese martial arts are divided by the Yangtze River into the northern and the southern styles. Mr Hing Chao, CEO of the International Guoshu Association, will speak about the history of the southern school. Coupled with demonstrations by kung fu masters, this talk literally kick-starts the PolyU Kung Fu Festival and leads you into the fascinating world of Chinese martial arts.
