Raymond Sin-Kwok Wong
Professor Emeritus
Raymond Sin-Kwok Wong is currently Professor Emeritus, Department of Sociology, University of California-Santa Barbara. After attaining his undergraduate education in Hong Kong, he pursued education abroad and obtained doctoral degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1989. He previously held another position as Head and Professor, Division of Social Science in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His areas of teaching and research interests include sociology of education, social stratification, economic sociology, comparative sociology, sociological methods, and quantitative analyses. He has publications in various professional journals, including American Sociological Review, Research in Social Stratification and Mobility, Research in Sociology of Education, Social Forces, Sociological Methods and Research, and Sociology of Education. He has published two books, an edited volume, Chinese Entrepreneurship in a Global Era, and Association Models (Chinese translation: 關聯模型 and Japanese translation: カテゴリカルデータの連関モデル). He was also a recipient of the Spencer Postdoctoral Fellow from the National Academy of Education and the Fulbright International Exchange Scholar.
