Keynote Speaker

Prof. Ye Liu is currently a full Professor in School of Geography and Planning, Sun Yat-sen University. Prior to joining Sun Yat-sen University in 2017, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of St Andrews, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and University of Lethbridge. He obtained his Ph.D. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013. His primary research interests focus on Internal Migration, Health Inequalities, Neighborhood and Well-being, and Age-friendly Communities. He has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed academic journals such as Annals of the American Association of Geographers, Regional Studies, Urban Studies, Landscape and Urban Planning, Journal of Transport Geography, and Health & Place. He is the Principal Investigator of five research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China. He serves as a co-Editor-in-Chief of Applied Spatial Analysis and PolicyApplied Spatial Analysis and Policyan Associate Editor ofApplied Spatial Analysis and PolicyApplied Spatial Analysis and Policyand an editorial board member of several journals including Applied Spatial Analysis and Policy, Applied Spatial Analysis and Policy, and Applied Spatial Analysis and Policy. He has been named a Highly Cited Researcher 2024 by Clarivate and listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University since 2022.
