The ETTE Symposium is one of the biggest university-wide teaching and learning events in PolyU tradition, which provides an opportunity for teachers, educators, and students to share insights and experiences in teaching and learning. Registration is now open, and I sincerely invite you all to attend this PolyU teaching and learning event.

The ETTE Symposium 2024 will be a full-day event conducted in a hybrid mode, with a focus on GenAI in Higher Education. In the morning, we are honoured to have a Welcome Address by our President, Professor Jin-Guang Teng, before I will give an Opening Address. We are also privileged to host a Sharing by a collaborative team of PolyU recipients of the 2023 UGC Teaching Award, followed by a Keynote Presentation by Professor John Mitchell, Mary And Gordon Crary Family Professor in the School of Engineering, and Professor, by Courtesy, of Electrical Engineering and of Education, Stanford University, USA, and two Panel Discussions by vice presidents and by students from PolyU and different local and overseas universities. The afternoon session will include a second Keynote Presentation by Professor Fengchun Miao, Chief of the Unit for Technology and AI in Education, UNESCO (Paris), a Panel Discussion by IT industrial experts, and a Sharing session by the chairpersons of our Faculty/School Learning and Teaching Committees or their delegates.
