We could arguably be considered as the final generation of educators who teach without the support of GenAI. Since the start of this semester, our students are pioneering as the first generation to learn with the assistance of GenAI. Given that GenAI tools of various kinds are
increasingly accessible to both teachers and students, this Part I workshop is designed to cater to those with teaching responsibilities who may not necessarily be early adopters or innovators in the use of GenAI. It provides a venue for participants to explore their reservations, analyse case studies, participate in discussions and engage in hands-on activities.

Addressing the GenAI Gap – Part I (Revisiting Existing Practices)
  • re-examine how GenAI does/does not impact our L&T, particularly for your own subject area
  • explore the practical and ethical considerations of incorporating GenAI into your existing practices, as appropriate

You are advised to bring your Internet-ready mobile devices or use one of the iPads available for each table in BC305 for evaluating your GenAI output.
