Virtual simulation in healthcare education
Abstract:
The COVID pandemic has affected our lives and we are continually adapting to the new “normal”. In the past three years, students and teachers have to face a lot of challenges. In the beginning of 2020, classes were suspended suddenly and then switched to online mode. Slowly the policy relaxed and allowed small group teaching and essential practical activities to be held. However, it is always difficult for healthcare teachers to solve the problem of practical classes and clinical placement suspension. This challenge stimulated our colleagues to generate different ideas to use virtual reality to train competent healthcare professionals.
