Dr Jin Lam is currently Assistant Professor in the School of Fashion and Textiles at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has actively initiated a series of community-based teaching and research projects on inclusive design and arts engagement. She researches and teaches expressive textile arts, fashion and image design placing emphasis on co-design and empathetic design approaches with and for the excluded communities, such as ex-mentally ill persons, older adults, intellectual disabilities, ex-offenders, at-risk youth and students with special educational needs. She has devoted to nurture undergraduate students as responsible citizens and promote psychosocial well-being through interdisciplinary collaboration networks.
