Dr Kam K.H. Ng (Researcher ID: L-7278-2019; ORCID: 0000-0002-4959-0502; IEEE member; IET member; AIAA member) is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering (AAE), at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, HKSAR. Before joining AAE, he was a Research Fellow in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He received first-class honours, B.Sc. Degree (Hons) and Ph.D. Degree in Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong SAR, China, in 2015 and 2019 respectively. He organised various UG workshops and practical training sessions to enhance students’ understanding on human factors and pilot ground theory. Furthermore, he always encourages students to engage in professional development that can lead them to professional awards (recognition and scholarships). With the cooperation with local non-profit organisations, PolyU students have a chance to co-learn with the general public in this aviation education programme, in which the lecturers are the training captain, airline pilots, flight simulator training instructors and our staff. The outstanding students in this course will have a chance to have eight ab-initio flying training hours at oversea flying schools and enrich their profile with actual flying experiences.
