Strategic Plan on Learning and Teaching
The University’s Strategic Plan on learning and teaching for 2019/20 – 2024/25 identifies nurturing holistic professionals for the future as the overarching objective. It sets the following as this term’s strategic priorities:
- To instil in students the desire to learn and strengthen their ability to learn to learn;
- Enhance the student learning experience through the use of interactive pedagogies;
- Transform physical and virtual learning spaces to facilitate new teaching and learning pedagogies;
- Provide a supportive environment for students to review and reflect on their learning;
- Prepare ourselves for the onset of digital transformation in tertiary education;
- Continue to enhance the quality of undergraduate degree programmes; and
- Create a culture conducive to valuing teaching and learning and to motivating teachers to excel.
