The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology (ABCT) held the ABCT 2023 Outstanding Alumni Award Presentation Ceremony and Sharing Session on 22 January 2024. This event served as a platform to recognize and celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of our esteemed alumni, allowing them to impart their experiences and insights to the audience.
During the ceremony, Prof. Larry Chow, the Head of the Department of ABCT, presented the Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award of Department of ABCT 2023 - Entrepreneurial Achievement to Dr. HO Kam-piu, Chief Scientific Officer & Founder of GRST Holdings Limited. Dr. Ho delivered a speech on the topic of "Career Expectations VS. Reality". Additionally, the Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award of Department of ABCT 2023 - Scholarly Achievement was bestowed upon Dr. Franco LEUNG King-chi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. Leung presented his academic journey with a focus on Supramolecular Chemistry. The stories shared by these accomplished individuals were both inspiring and informative, showcasing their success and determination.
