Prof. Li Bing completed his PhD at the PolyU Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1999, joining Maxbright Engineering Limited as Engineering Director. In 2004, he embarked on an academic career at the Shenzhen Graduate School of the Harbin Institute of Technology, where he was promoted to full professor in 2006. He is currently Vice President at the Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen. Prof. Li’s research interests focus on the design and control of robotics, aerospace mechanisms, and mechatronic systems. He has received recognition as a National High-level Expert with Special Government Allowance of the State Council, and as a Shenzhen Pengcheng Scholar. Recently, he has chaired or organised more than ten international academic conferences and has delivered key speeches at several major international conferences. In 2022, he was ranked among the World's Top 2% of Scientists by Stanford University. Prof. Li has undertaken over 30 national and local key research projects and has authored more than 160 refereed journal papers. His five published conference papers have each won best paper awards. He also holds 85 authorised invention patents in China. Prof. Li’s research has received significant recognition, earning second prize in the National Technology Invention Award, and four science and technology awards at the provincial and municipal levels. Several of his research techniques have been successfully transformed into marketable products.
Prof. LI Jun

Prof. Li Jun is currently a Tenured Professor and Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow in the School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering at Curtin University, Australia. His research interests focus on the development and application of emerging computer vision, artificial intelligence, and data analytics techniques for the structural health monitoring of civil engineering structures. His research outcomes have been used to monitor operational conditions at Curtin University Engineering Pavilion, and Matagarup Bridge and Stirling Bridge in Western Australia. Prof. Li has been Chief Investigator for ten research projects. He has authored more than 215 technical publications—including over 155 journal papers—attracting over 5000 citations on Google Scholar with an H-index score of 41. Prof. Li has received the ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award in 2013 and several research awards, including the Nishino Prize in 2019, Best Review Paper and Best Paper Award of Engineering Structures in 2023, and the Curtin Mid-Career Research Award in 2023. He is currently a Fellow of Engineers Australia, Associate Editor of Structural Health Monitoring and the Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring, Academic Editor of Structural Control and Health Monitoring, and Co-chair of the Early Career Researchers Committee of the International Society for Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure. He has been invited to give over 20 keynote and invited presentations at international conferences.
Dr Dahua SHOU

Dr Shou Dahua is Limin Endowed Young Scholar in Advanced Textiles Technologies, and an Associate Professor at the School of Fashion and Textiles at PolyU. He is the founding Programme Leader of the Master of Science in Intelligent Wearable Technology. Dr Shou earned his PhD from PolyU in 2013, followed by postdoctoral research at The University of Sydney and Cornell University. His research interests include personal thermal and moisture management, intelligent wearables, and soft robotics. Dr Shou received the Distinguished Achievement Award from The Fiber Society in 2023, an honour given to only one recipient worldwide annually. He was also listed among the Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide in 2022 and 2023. He has won the Gold Medal at the Geneva Invention Exhibition and has twice won the TechConnect Global Innovation Award. His work has been featured on Yahoo Tech and i-Cable’s InnoAction. Dr Shou serves as an Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member for seven Science Citation Index (SCI) journals (Q1/Q2) and is Deputy Director of the Expert Committee at the National Textile and Apparel Comfort Technology R&D Center at the China Textile Engineering Society. He has authored nearly 100 SCI papers published in leading journals, and holds three US patents and more than ten Chinese patents. Looking ahead, Dr Shou will chair The Fiber Society Spring 2025 Conference in Hong Kong, themed Future Fibers for Wellbeing, Intelligence, and Sustainability.
Prof. YANG Yang

Prof. Yang Yang is a Professor in the School of Sport, Tourism, and Hospitality Management at Temple University, Philadelphia. He also serves as Executive Director of the US–Asia Center for Tourism and Hospitality Research. Prof. Yang earned a Master of Philosophy in Hotel and Tourism Management from PolyU in 2010 and a PhD from the University of Florida in 2013. Prof. Yang’s primary research interests include tourism demand analysis, regional tourism growth, and hotel financial and real estate analysis. He has authored over 100 research articles published in SSCI-indexed journals. He has been included in Stanford–Elsevier’s rankings of the Top 2% Most-Cited Researchers in the World for the past three years. Additionally, he has been named a Fellow of the International Association for China Tourism Studies and an Emerging Scholar of Distinction by the International Academy for the Study of Tourism. Prof. Yang has served as an Associate Editor for the Annals of Tourism Research, a Corresponding Editor for the International Journal of Hospitality Management, and an Editorial Board Member for several major tourism and hospitality journals. Prof. Yang has also gained substantial industrial experience from several consulting projects.
