Dr Vien Cheung Tsz-lock is an Associate Professor at the University of Leeds, UK. Her research specialises in colour vision, colour and imaging science, and colour design. Dr Cheung’s commitment to integrity and diversity drives her to explore how colour and imaging technology can shift “black and white” judgements into a wider perception of the world. Dr Cheung’s significant contributions to colour and imaging research, education, and the interests of allied industries and communities have earned her the Selwyn Award from The Royal Photographic Society in 2008, the Service Award from the Society for Imaging, Science and Technology in 2016, and the Silver and Gold Medals from the Society of Dyers and Colourists in 2011 and 2023 respectively. Dr Cheung is a past President of the International Colour Association, which has a global membership of 28 regional and territorial colour associations across five continents. She is active in charitable and educational organisations, including the Colour Group of Great Britain, where she is Chairman; and the Society of Dyers and Colourists, where she serves as Honorary Secretary. She is also a Panellist for Advance Higher Education’s Race Equality Charter.

Mr Ray Lau Wai-man graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a bachelor's degree in Textiles and Apparel Marketing, and a master's degree in Information Systems. He recently served as Head of Mainland China e-commerce business for the Hong Kong Glorious Group, where he successfully transformed the Jeanswest brand into a top apparel brand on major mainland e-commerce platforms through digital innovation. In 2021, Mr Lau was honoured with the title “China Textile Industry Annual Innovator”. His professional positions include President of the T-shirt Branch of the China Knitting Industry Association, Executive Director of the Council of the China Textile Engineering Society, and Executive Deputy Director of the E-commerce Professional Committee of the China Garment Association.
Dr Dahua SHOU

Dr Shou Dahua is Limin Endowed Young Scholar in Advanced Textiles Technologies, and an Associate Professor at the School of Fashion and Textiles at PolyU. He is the founding Programme Leader of the Master of Science in Intelligent Wearable Technology. Dr Shou earned his PhD from PolyU in 2013, followed by postdoctoral research at The University of Sydney and Cornell University. His research interests include personal thermal and moisture management, intelligent wearables, and soft robotics. Dr Shou received the Distinguished Achievement Award from The Fiber Society in 2023, an honour given to only one recipient worldwide annually. He was also listed among the Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide in 2022 and 2023. He has won the Gold Medal at the Geneva Invention Exhibition and has twice won the TechConnect Global Innovation Award. His work has been featured on Yahoo Tech and i-Cable’s InnoAction. Dr Shou serves as an Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member for seven Science Citation Index (SCI) journals (Q1/Q2) and is Deputy Director of the Expert Committee at the National Textile and Apparel Comfort Technology R&D Center at the China Textile Engineering Society. He has authored nearly 100 SCI papers published in leading journals, and holds three US patents and more than ten Chinese patents. Looking ahead, Dr Shou will chair The Fiber Society Spring 2025 Conference in Hong Kong, themed Future Fibers for Wellbeing, Intelligence, and Sustainability.
