Ir Chen attained her Bachelor of Science in Building Engineering and Management on the Dean’s Honours List of the then Faculty of Construction and Land Use of PolyU in 2003. Devoted to the construction industry for 18 years, she has consistently delivered results in exceptional efficiency and quality. She led her team to complete various challenging and large-scale construction projects in Hong Kong and Macao, including HKSTP’s Advanced Manufacturing Centre, One Taikoo Place, Shanghai Commercial Bank, Pacific Place Mall Contemporisation, Sheraton Grand Macao, and the Venetian Macao. With her outstanding leadership as the Project-in-Charge in the Central Plaza Podium Extension project, she was honoured by the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM) with Grand Award of Excellent Construction Team (A&A works), Construction Manager Award, and Young Construction Manager Award in 2020.
With her extensive and in-depth knowledge, Ir Chen was nominated an Engineering Supervisor (ES) of HKIE Scheme A training, and a qualified trainer for various courses in Gammon Academy. She has a vision to help construction practitioners hone their skill for better performance in project execution, and to attract and retain young, energetic and talented players in the industry.
