Mr Wong is currently Principal Advisor (Medical Device) of Corp R&D Department in SGS HK Limited. With over 19 years of experience in the medical industry and profound knowledge in medical devices, he specialises in integrating regulatory requirements on medical devices of different countries into quality management systems. 

His professional qualifications include MDR (2017/745 Regulation) Auditor, ISO 13485 Auditor, and ASQ Certified Medical Device Auditor. As a Founding Member and an Executive Board Member of Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industries Association (HKMHDIA), he enthusiastically shares his professional knowledge and experiences with industry stakeholders on various occasions in Hong Kong and China. Since 2008, Mr Wong has also been honourably titled HKMHDIA Life Member. 

Since 2021, he has been serving as a Visiting Lecturer and an Industrial Member of the Undergraduate Programme Committee of PolyU’s Department of Biomedical Engineering.

Ir Cristina LEUNG

Ir Leung currently heads the Biomedical Engineering Department of Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong. Over the past decade, she has been devoted to furthering the development of biomedical engineering in local private hospitals. On behalf of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), she helped establish a training programme for Biomedical Engineering graduates (also known as HKIE Scheme “A” Training programme) in different private hospitals, including Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, Hong Kong Adventist Hospital-Tsuan Wan and Hong Kong Adventist Hospital-Stubbs Road. 

Passionate about nurturing the next generations of elites in biomedical engineering, Ir Leung has contributed to the undergraduate student placement programmes of PolyU and other local institutions. Besides being a Visiting Lecturer at PolyU’s Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) teaching undergraduate subjects of clinical engineering and medical technologies, she also helped set up a hands-on workshop for BME undergraduates of the City University of Hong Kong.
