Prof. William Ho is Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His research expertise includes supply chain risk management and sustainable supply chain management. Prof. Ho has published over 60 papers in leading journals, such as Journal of Operations Management, Operations Research, Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, and many others. With his works being cited over 10,000 times by other scholars, Prof. Ho was decorated with a number of research awards and secured five major competitive research grants funded by the Australian, Chinese, European, and the U.K. governments. As a dedicated educator and an ardent advocate of innovative teaching, Prof. Ho has developed and coordinated academic programmes for undergraduates, postgraduates, PhD candidates and executives, in the areas of operations management, supply chain management, and business analytics. In addition, as Programme Director, he also developed a number of online courses for the Master of Supply Chain Management programme. With teaching experiences in renowned institutions around the world, multiple teaching awards were bestowed upon him, including the Melbourne Excellence Award – Edward Brown Award for Teaching Excellence, and the Aston Excellence Award – Outstanding Teacher of the Year.

Ms Cadence Law Wing-ting is an accomplished engineering professional, passionate about turning visions into reality by leveraging innovation and technology. She received her BEng degree in Product Engineering with Marketing from PolyU in 2015 and went on to acquire an MSc degree in 2019. Ms Law leads a diverse engineering team to develop society-wide solutions towards a sustainable, eco-friendly and prosperous smart city. Her mission is to contribute to innovations and technological advancements by tapping into her inventive abilities. Her interests include robotic systems, artificial intelligence solutions, and recycling of retired batteries from electric vehicles. Her fruitful outputs in the forms of patents and publications have earned her both local and international awards. As a trusted engineer, Ms Law has influenced and propelled industry development, and informed policymakers by sharing her insights in consultations, technical and engineering sharing sessions and other collaborative efforts. For her outstanding contributions, she was named Young Woman Engineer 2022 (Merit) by The Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong.
