The PolyU Alumni Ambassador Annual Dinner was held on 6 September 2019. Witnessed by PolyU senior management, staff and alumni leaders, appointment certificates were presented to 19 graduates coming from various disciplines. They include members of the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations Chinese Orchestra and former Student Ambassadors.
The event was officiated by Ir Prof. Ben Young, Vice President (Student Affairs) of PolyU, Mr Alex C.B. Wong, President of the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations (Federation) and Ir Johnny Fan, Convenor of Alumni Ambassador Sub-committee of the Federation. Prof. Young warmly welcomed the Ambassadors and encouraged them to help their alma mater forge closer connections among alumni and contribute to University and alumni initiatives.
Highlights of the Dinner included wonderful performance by the members of the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations Chinese Orchestra and the Alumni Ambassador Band.
The PolyU Alumni Ambassadors programme was launched in 2018. To-date, a total of 100 graduates have been appointed as Alumni Ambassadors. They are former student ambassadors, or graduates who have remarkable achievements in their fields (such as sports, arts and culture), and are eager to serve their alma mater.
