On 3 September 2022, more than 40 alumni came back to explore their alma mater with a team of teachers, students and alumni leaders.
The participants were warmly greeted at the Alumni Atrium by Ms Wanze Li, Section Head of the Alumni Affairs Office; Mr Ivan Au, Chairman of the Accounting and Finance Graduates Association; and Prof. Nancy Su, Professor and Head of the School of Accounting and Finance. Their first stop on this tour was the recently unveiled PolyU Main Entrance. After that, the alumni visited the Pao Yue-kong Library, where they were amazed by the spectacular glasshouse on the new top floor, as well as the scenic study space built with contemporary infrastructure and modern facilities. To further experience the current vibrancy of PolyU, they travelled to the Jockey Club Innovation Tower, appreciating students’ creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship through the PolyU Design Show 2022 and PolyU InnoHub. As “time travellers”, the alumni also recalled their good old days when entering Cheung On Tak Lecture Theatre (TU201) and the lecture room Z206 of Block Z.
Having enjoyed interactions with their juniors, the participants cherished the time they spent together on campus, witnessing the latest development of their alma mater while sharing their fond memories along the way. They were eager to join other tours in the future!
Jointly organised by the Alumni Affairs Office (AAO) and the Accounting and Finance Graduates Association (AFGA), and supported by the School of Accounting and Finance (AF) and the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations (FHKPUAA), this is the 5th event of the “85A Alumni Tourcation” series. In view of the overwhelming response and tripled registrations, AAO is going to organise an extra tour on 24 September. We sincerely thank every alumnus for supporting us and look forward to seeing you all in the upcoming journeys of reminiscence!
