On 22 September afternoon, over 40 alumni joined a guided tour featuring PolyU’s “Technical Library”. Organised by the Alumni Affairs Office (AAO) and supported by the Industrial Centre (IC), the event attracted an overwhelming response from alumni across various disciplines and generations.
All participants first gathered at the Alumni Atrium and gave their dearest wishes on a big birthday card for PolyU’s 85th Anniversary. With warm greetings from Ms Wanze Li, Section Head of AAO, the group first went to take photos with the recently unveiled PolyU Main Entrance, followed by Stephen Cheong Kam Chuen Memorial Plaza, Chan Sui Kau & Chan Lam Moon Chun Square, Jockey Club Innovation Tower, and finally arrived at the six-storey IC. On different floors, the staff members of this “Technical Library” led informative tours with showcases and demonstrations, telling participants more about artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, robotics, as well as other emerging technologies developed by their alma mater.
Featuring alumni coming back, the “85A Alumni Tourcation” provides an immersive experience for alumni to rediscover their alma mater and share fond memories with their peers. As one of the favourite spots at all times, IC is going to present more eye-opening innovations and research projects in the upcoming tours. Please save the dates and join us!
