Visit of Chiang Mai University of Thailand to BRE

 A  delegation  consisting  of  6  academic  staff  and  19full-time  taught postgraduate    students    major    in    construction    engineering    and management  from  the  Department  of  Civil  Engineering of  Chiang  Mai University,  Thailand  visited  our  department  at  9:00am  –  11:00  am  onFriday,  18  November  2011  at  room  TU318.  Our  Head  of Department(Prof  Geoffrey  Shen),  Programme  Award  Co-ordinator for  MSc/PgD  in Construction   and  Real   Estate   (Dr  Daniel   Chan),   together   with   the President  of  the  CIB  Student  Chapter  of  PolyU  (Mr  Hong  Yuming), jointly welcomed and greeted them during the visit.   Prof Shen first gave an overview of BRE followed byan introduction to our Faculty Taught Postgraduate Scheme. Dr Chan then provided an in-depth briefing of our three taught postgraduate programmes offered byBRE   and   highlighted   the   main   research   areas   undertaken   by   our academic  staff.  The  delegates  found  the  visit  very informative  and inspiring,  and  intended  to  develop  strategic  links with  BRE  in  terms  of academic exchange and/or research collaboration.   Photo Gallery : Visit of Chiang Mai University
