BRE Scholar's Paper on Emerald Reading List Assist

The paper  "Key  performance  indicators  for measuring  construction  success"  of Professor Albert  CHAN and Dr  Ada  CHAN has  been  selected  for  inclusion  in Emerald  Reading List Assist.    Emerald Reading List Assist is a free, unique, peer-reviewed reading list service for all Emerald subscribers. The secomprehensive,  subject-specific  reading  lists  have  been  compiled  by faculty experts  and  facilitate  both  teaching  and  learning,  whilst further  increasing  the  dissemination of our work.   The service, launched recently, is comprised of a collection of 50 reading lists and accompany ingeditorials,  covering  subjects  across  Emerald’s portfolio  areas.  Each  reading  list  contains  60-80Emerald   articles   and has   filterable   data   markers   that   help   the   user   refine   contents earches. These indicators provide information on the article's practical, literary and pedagogical features, allowing for fast, easy and idiosyncratically-led content searches.   Prof. Albert CHAN is a Chartered Builder, Engineer, Project Manager, and Surveyor  by  profession.    He  joined  the  Department  of  Building  and  Real Estate  in  1996  and  is  currently  an  Associate  Head,  and  Chairperson  of  the Departmental  Teaching  and  Learning  Committee.    Prof.  Chan  has  been commissioned by a number of organizations to provide consultancy services in  project  management  and  construction  economics.  He  has  produced  over500 publications in refereed journal papers, international refereed conference papers, consultancy reports, and other written outputs.  He has won a number of  prestigious  research  paper  and  innovation  awards  such  as  the  1995  Fred Wilson Memorial Prize, the Year 2000 Best Safety Paper Gold Prize Award,a  Commemorative  Medal  in  the  CIOB  2001  Research  Papers  Competition,The  CIOB  Innovation  Achievers  Award  for  2008/09,  Gold  Medal  with  the Congratulations  of  the  Jury  in  Geneva,  2008,  and  the  Award  of  High Scientific and Technological Level of the Invention, 2008.  Prof. Chan hold san  MSc  in  Construction  Management  and  Economics  at  the  University  of Aston in Birmingham, and a PhD in Project Management at the University of South Australia.  Prof. Chan maintains good links with overseas institutions.He   has   been   an   Adjunct   Professor   of   the   Queensland   University   of Technology,  the  University  of  South  Australia,  and  the  Bond  University  in Australia;  and  the  Hua qiao  University  of  the  PRC.    Prof.  Chan  was  also  a Founding Director of Construction Industry Institute, Hong Kong, which was a joint research institution developed by the industry and the academia. More about Albert Chan : Ir Prof Albert PC CHAN   Dr  Ada  CHAN obtained  her  Bachelor's  Degree  in  Construction  Economics and Management and PhD award under the supervision of Prof. Albert Chan at the Department of Building and Real Estate of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.   She also obtained her Master of Business Administration at The Chinese  University  of  Hong  Kong.She  is  a  member  of  the  Hong  Kong Institute   of   Surveyors,   Australian   Institution   of   Building   and   Chartered Institute  of  Builder.    She  is  currently  a  lecturer  at  Hong  Kong  Community College of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
