Prof. Ni Meng awarded Prestigious Humboldt Research Fellowship

Prof. Meng Ni, our Associate Head (Research)was honourably awarded the prestigious ‘Humboldt  Research  Fellowship’.    This fellowship  will  support Prof.  Nito  conduct there search  on  high  temperature  polymer  electrolyte fuel  cells at  one  of  the  leading  institutes in  Europe-Forschungs zentrum Jülich.

 

The   Humboldt   Research   Fellowship by   the   Alexander  von  Humboldt Foundation aims  to  encourage  young  yet  highly-qualified  scientists  and scholars from abroad to carry out research in Germany. 

 

Prof.  Ni  received  his  Bachelor  and  Master  degrees  from  North western Polytechnical University, Xi’an China.In  2003,  he  joined the  University  of Hong Kong (HKU) as are search student and received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from HKU in 2007.  Prof. Ni joined our big family as an Assistant Professor in July 2009.After years of great endeavours,he was promoted to Associate Professor and Professor in2012 and2016, respectively.

 

With  his  brilliant  research  achievements,  Prof.  Ni surely deserved this prestigious‘ Humboldt  Research  Fellowship’.Heis  very  thankful  for  this award which gave him every confidence to take on new challenges a head.
