Situated in Core CD and DE on the Podium under-cover area, the U Garden provides an air-conditioned and weather-proof catering space for the PolyU community. This innovative concept aims to enrich the PolyU campus life by introducing a multi-functional area that fosters a stronger sense of community. The U Garden has become the iconic space where members of the PolyU community can get together, collaborate on projects, engage in discussions and enjoy delectable refreshments.
Designed with a garden-like ambiance, the U Garden transcends the traditional notion of a mere seating area. Its elegant and timeless facade, coupled with modern and playful furniture, creates a vibrant atmosphere on campus. Initially 770 seating spaces will be provided as an alternative catering space during the Redevelopment of Blocks VA & VS between 2025 and 2030. Once the canteen in Blocks VA & VS resumes in 2030, the area will be transformed into the PolyU Club, offering space for entertainment and recreational activities. Officially opened in 2025, the U Garden has become an exciting addition to campus facilities and enhanced the overall PolyU experience.
