In consultation with University Senior Management, formulate strategy and policy in the planning and development of the University’s buildings and facilities and long term accommodation requirements in support of strategic and general development

Control, monitor and improve the overall ambience and architectural character of the campus with a view to providing a high quality environment conducive to academic development

Manage the planning and implementation of the ‘Campus Master Plan’

Prepare annual Building Proposals and Alterations Additions and Improvement (AA&I) projects proposals to University Grants Committee for securing of necessary capital grants

Plan, manage and provide in-house multi-disciplinary services, as appropriate, on all capital, AA&I, alteration and additions works, fitting out and interior design works

Oversee the planning and design of the signage system and landscaping works for the University buildings

In collaboration with Facilities Management Office, monitor and continuously improve the infra-structure and amenities of the campus to keep up with the latest functional, statutory and safety requirements

Provide professional advice to the University Management on space planning and allocation matters

Liaise with government and relevant outside bodies on all land and building matters

Manage and maintain computerized drawing management system for university buildings
