30 students from Yan Oi Tong Tin Ka Ping Secondary School visited CEE department on 23 Dec 2022 (Fri). Dr Siwei Liu, Assistant Professor, delivered a programme talk to share the latest development of the civil engineering industry and introduced the admission information of BEng(Hons) Scheme in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Development.
Students then formed groups to compete in the “Tower Challenge: Engineering with Straws, Tape and Imagination”. The best performed group built a tower of 61cm high.
Apart from the programme talk and interactive workshop, students also visited Noise and Safety Laboratory and Geology Laboratory.
