CEE Staff-Student-Alumni Badminton Doubles Competition 2024

Time: 12:30 - 18:00

Venue: Kwong On Jubilee Sports Centre, PolyU

Quota: First-come-first-served basis with limited quota (Need registration)

Competition Details:

1. Competition Format:

1.1 Doubles matches ONLY.

1.2 The sequences of face off against team will be based on a random draw.

1.3 The matches are in the form of knockout competition.

1.4 The winning team from each game will advance to the next knockout stage.

1.5 The knockout stage will consist of quarterfinals, semi-finals, third place playoff and a final match.

2. Team Formation: Each team must consist of two players, regardless of gender and identity (appreciate more teams can be formed in between students with staff OR students with alumni)

3. Eligibility: Open to ALL CEE Students (both undergraduate and postgraduate students), CEE Alumni & CEE Staff

4. Scoring System:

4.1 Matches will be played using the rally point scoring system.

4.2 Only 1 match per game.

4.3 Each game will be played up to 21 points, with the team reaching 21 points (or more) winning the game.

4.4 If the score reaches 20-20, the game will continue until one team has a two-point lead (e.g. 22-20). 4.5 Maximum score will be 30, the team first reaching 30 will win the game.

5. Prizes & Recognition: Medals & Coupons will be presented to the winning teams. Champion (Gold Medals & HK$500 coupons per team), 1st Runner-up (Silver Medals & HK$300 coupons per team) & 2nd Runner-up (Bronze Medals & HK$100 coupons per team)

Remarks:

Players need to BRING YOUR OWN badminton racket. Organizer will not provide badminton racket.
