Congratulations to Prof. Hai Guo in CEE on getting the FAST Faculty Award 2019/2020
The COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak ultimately designated a pandemic status and led to an unprecedented global demand and chronic shortage of disposable face masks. To provide an alternative to disposable face masks, Prof. Hai Guo’s team in CEE cooperated with a team from the Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC) to develop an effective antiviral, washable and reusable face mask, namely PU30. The project won the Faculty of Applied Science & Textiles (FAST) Faculty Awards 2019/20 (Team Award).
