Dr He Tangtian obtained his M.Phil. degree (2011) in Marine Biology from Shantou University and got his Ph.D. degree (2017) in Environmental Science from City University of Hong Kong. Before joining PolyU as a Research Assistant Professor, Dr He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at PolyU from 2018 to 2022. Dr He has been working actively in the inter-disciplinary research fields between environmental biogeochemistry, toxicology, and microbiology. His ongoing research includes natural and anthropogenic origins of antimicrobial resistance, airborne transmission of antimicrobial resistance and pathogens, phage-host interaction on antimicrobial resistance and human health, marine pollution and coral reef degradation, and ocean-air interface and polluted marine aerosols.
