Dr Sivaganesh Selvaraj obtained his Master’s and Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), India in 2019. He completed his bachelor's degree from the Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi, Tamilnadu, India. Dr Selvaraj joined PolyU as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from July 2020 to 2023. Dr Selvaraj’s current research interests include steel and composite structures, he primarily focuses on the development of design guidelines for cold-formed steel structural members. He has received several awards for his contribution to research in Structural Stability, notably the YDK Young Researcher Award from the Structural Stability Research Council, American Institute of Steel Construction.
