Dr Tony Sze, Associate Professor of CEE, was invited by Now TV to speak on “Now Report (經緯線)” programme (ViuTV Ch.99) broadcasted on 22 October 2023 (Sun).
Different automated driving systems are trialed in many cities in China Mainland and North America, however, safety of automated driving systems is still of major concern. Dr Sze shared his insights into the challenges of developing autonomous vehicles and the hurdles for the wide application of automated driving systems in Hong Kong, particularly complicated road design, traffic operation, and frequent pedestrian activities on the roads.
