The Power of Passion - A Concert by PolyU Orchestra, with PolyU Choir

“The Power of Passion” concert begins with Verdi’s La Forza del Destino (The Force of Destiny) Overture. This is followed by the PolyU Choir to perform famous choral works The Lord Bless You and Keep You and The Joy of Snowflake. Joining the forces of PolyU Orchestra and PolyU Choir, they will then perform a unique commissioned medley interweaving the PolyU 85th Anniversary theme song and Canton-pop songs over the past eight decades to celebrate the achievements of PolyU. The finale of the concert will be Schubert’s Symphony No 9 known as The Great. This is a challenging piece built on a majestic structure and memorable melodies in four movements.
