A leading research centre of collaborative interdisciplinary researches in space resources and the associate technologies of their explorations and exploitations with the ultimate aim of technology transfer for the earthly benefits of Hong Kong, the nation and the world.

Our Mission

To maintain PolyU’s lead in space explorations payloads development
To form an interdisciplinary team for sustainable explorations and exploitations of space resources
Develop a laboratory for storage and non-destructive analysis of the Chang’e-5 lunar regolith samples collected by our instrument
Increase our research capabilities to the level capable of proposing and leading deep space missions
