Summary
Have you ever thought of commercialising your research outcome through starting up a company? “PolyVentures Seminars: Research-based Startup Series” is specially designed for PolyU academics to guide you through your entrepreneurial journey.
The first seminar features Emeritus Prof. Philip Chan’s personal story, with his insights, tips and advice for professors considering forming startups. It will give you an idea about the road ahead for academics in building a research-based startup. Meanwhile, Mr Kelvin Wong, Deputy Director of IfE, will talk about the resources and support at PolyU as well as the guidelines and procedures on licensing, consultancy, outside activity declaration, and conflict of interest.
The sharing of two speakers will be streamed live on Zoom. But you definitely shouldn’t miss the closed-door discussion in W208 after sharing. In this session exclusive to in-person participants, you will be involved in more in-depth discussions and communication.
