International Summit on the Use of AI in Learning and Teaching Languages and Other Subjects & Post-Summit Workshop Series

The Department of English and Communication at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in cooperation with the Education Bureau (EDB), the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR), and Hong Kong Education City (EdCity) are proud to present the International Summit on the Use of AI in Learning and Teaching Languages and Other Subjects & Post-Summit Workshop Series (AIinLT).

The Summit seeks to provide a practical forum for teachers, researchers, and others in the education sector to gather, learn, and share insights regarding the use of AI in the broad field of education – from language education, to arts, to mathematics, to history and beyond. The Summit will be conducted in Chinese and English and is free for both attendees and presenters.

4 – 5 July 2025: Summit

• Presentations and teaching demonstrations of best practices on how AI and AI-assisted tools can be used in the classroom to help students and teachers by educational practitioners from primary, secondary, and tertiary educational contexts and from around the world.

6 – 7 July 2025: Post-Summit Workshop Series

• Practical workshops on helping educators learn through hands-on practice how AI can be used effectively in various educational contexts.
• Technology showcase to further introduce educators and learners alike to many of the technical and digital tools that can be used to enhance learning.
