To understand the interrelation between emotions and events, Prof. Huang and his project team developed an “implicit emotion expression” classification method for deducing emotions hidden in the expressions in the context of emotion-related events.
Dr Tam explained what drives his research into Cantonese stand-up comedy and 20th century Chinese film and literature, and his current interest in spy fiction.
